1、表示某个地方存在某物或某人，可以翻译成有的意思，Be动词的单复数必须依主语的变化而变化。（最靠近be动词的名词如果是单数或不可数名词，be动词用is；最靠近be动词的名词如果是可数名词复数，be动词用are）
例如：There is an apple and some oranges on the table.

2、there be意为存在，强调某地有某物，不表示所属关系。

There＋be＋名词＋地点词（在何处）

例如：There is some apple juice in the bottle.

瓶子里有些苹果汁。

3、在表示结构上的含有时，也可以用there be句型。

例如：It is impossible for there to be any more.

不可能再有了。

4、there be 结构作宾语时，通常用there to be ，常作这样一些词的宾语：expect，like, mean, intend, want,prefer,hate等。
例如：I expect there to be no argument about this.
